Real numbers, out loud.
Most studios make you book a call to hear a price. I think you should be able to check whether we fit your budget from your couch, before you spend a single conversation on it. Every quote is flat and agreed before work begins, rates are sized for non-profit budgets, and when my tools get faster, prices come down, not margins up.
One flat rate. Never neglected.
Community
per month — for small all-volunteer organizations
Standard
per month — the right fit for most organizations
Busy Site
per month — for sites that never sit still
The honest part: most months, your site needs less than an hour of actual hands-on work — and I will never pretend otherwise. A care plan is not buying my hours. It is buying the fact that it is handled: the updates happen, the backups exist, and when something breaks on a Saturday, a person you know answers. In the months that do need real hours, they are included — that is what flat means.
Working sessions, because the best meetings are the ones where things get done: we get on a screen together (or at a table), go over the changes you want, and I make the tweaks in real time while you watch. Standard includes one session each quarter and Busy Site one each month. Want more than your plan includes? Care members pay a discounted $75 an hour. Not on a plan at all? Sessions are $90 an hour, no membership required.
Two standing promises: pay yearly and get a month free. And once you are in, your rate is grandfathered — future price increases apply to new clients, never to you.
Flat quotes, typical ranges.
Every project gets one flat number before work starts. Where yours lands in the range depends on size and how ready your content is — and I will tell you exactly why.
A new website — $750 to $2,500
A basic content website — your story, your programs, a contact form, no online store. Design, build, your content moved in carefully, and a team trained to run it. Most land in the middle of the range.
A website rescue — $500 to $1,500
Your existing site, saved: refreshed design, fixed problems, content brought current. When a rescue is the honest recommendation, it is a fraction of a rebuild — here is how to tell which you need.
Digital asset organizing — $400 to $1,200
Your logos, photos, and documents gathered from every laptop and inbox into one organized, backed-up library. Priced by how deep the pile goes.
Patient tech help — $120 per visit
For individuals — often seniors in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Up to 90 minutes at your kitchen table or over video, at your pace, no judgment. No clock-watching either; we finish the thought.
What a well-cared-for website really costs per year.
Nobody publishes this math, so here it is. After the one-time build, a typical organization on the Standard plan spends about $1,788 a year on care and about $216 a year on hosting (SiteGround, in your own name — around $36 the first year). Call it roughly $2,000 a year, all in, for a website that is fast, backed up, current, and never your problem. That is the whole number — there is no other invoice hiding behind it.
Donations, payments, and personal information
When a project involves donations, payments, memberships, ticketing, or any other personal information, I do something that surprises people: I do not build it into your website. I connect your site to a specialized third-party platform built precisely for that job — systems that are professionally secured, independently audited, and insured for handling sensitive data in ways no small organization’s website ever should be.
Your website does what it is best at: telling your story and bringing people to the door. The donor’s card number lives with a processor whose entire business is protecting it. That separation is not a limitation — it is the safest architecture available at any price, and it means a website problem can never become a donor-data problem.
Those platforms carry their own modest fees, published on their own pricing pages. My part — choosing the right one, connecting it cleanly, and making it feel like a natural part of your site — is flat-quoted like everything else. And if you do not need any of this, I will be the first to say so.
